Biography

Karya Anliak is a student of the Master Industrial Design at ZHdK. In January and February 2026 she is a resident for two-months residency at the Cellulose and Wood Materials Lab of Empa. Her interest lies in how new experiences can emerge through interactions with living organisms, and how we might rethink the everyday objects we engage with.

Anliak is a multidisciplinary designer with a degree in graphic design. Her work explores the intersections of design, nature, and science. Working across communication and biodesign, her work reimagines our relationships with the broader living environments, aiming for more creative and regenerative design processes.
